(OOC: I'm finally done! XD Tell me what you think, Birdy.)
Name: Kaelyn
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Career: Trainer
Pokémorph: Lucario Morph
Appearance: Kaelyn has light blue to indigo hair. It is lighter toned on top than the ends and only her bangs are a deep indigo color. Her hair is about shoulder length, maybe a little longer. Her bangs come about half-way down her face, to about her cheeks. They are two bunches of hair on either side of her face that seem to like to be apart from the rest of the hair; they always stay in one place. On top of her head, just behind those stubborn bangs, are a pair of ears. These ears are a few shades darker than her hair, but not as dark as her bangs. The inside is a lot of black fuzz, like most ears. Beneath thin eyelashes are amber eyes, whose color can vary from a light red to almost a deep blood red color, depending on the mood Kaelyn is in. Kaelyn mouth is quite small, with thin lips. In the middle is a non-descript nose that has a peculiar shading to it. Her face is an overall oval shape with some natural angles to it. To complete her facial features, Kaelyn has a ghosting of black shading on otherwise fair skin, where a Lucario’s mask would be.
The rest of Kaelyn’s body is fairly human. She is thin, kinda of an hourglass shape, but more non-descript than anything else. She's about five and half feet tall. Despite being in the teens, she hasn’t filled out as much some girls do. Her arms and legs are more muscular than some, making her stand out a little; with almost no form and limbs that look awkward for her age. The other two things that make her stand out are her legs and what sticks out behind her. Her legs are fairly normal, except that they fade to blue fur and end in a Lucario’s footpaws. Because of that, Kaelyn doesn’t like shoes and would rather run barefoot. Running barefoot allows her to run almost as fast as a normal Lucario; any normal human would probably have trouble keeping up with her. What sticks out behind her is, of course, her tail. The tail is normal, as normal as a Lucario’s tail can be, with the exception of an odd hue mixed in with the normal blue.
Kaelyn normally wears a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. She doesn’t bother to hide her Lucario features, as she believes there is nothing wrong with them. The t-shirts are different colors, but each one is normally of a solid color. Sometimes she wears patterned shirts, but that is rare. The shorts are also usually of a solid color. All of Kaelyn’s shorts have a small hole her tail can wiggle through. The only other item that distinguishes Kaelyn is a necklace with a small multi-colored orb around her neck, on a small-linked gold chain.
Personality: Kaelyn can be shy sometimes, well, most of the time, and she scares easily. She wasn’t always like that, but, back to the present. Kaelyn doesn’t like dark alleyways and any other place where she can’t see easily. Or any place that hampers any of her senses. Kaelyn can use a little bit of Aura to help her when she is in a pinch, but because she doesn’t use it often she can’t do a lot, or for very long periods of time, as it tires her out incredibly fast and she has to rely on Lucifer to get her out of situations. Kaelyn will jump at slight noises and she often looks behind her for anything, just anything. When she and Lucifer settle for sleep, Kaelyn will always curl up in Lucifer’s stomach and let him drape his legs and large paws over her. She can’t sleep otherwise.
Kaelyn has a deeper personality, however, but some of that has been locked up and put away in a dark crevice of her mind where she can’t easily access. This part of her does Kaelyn no good in her current condition, where areas it used to be the only personality she had. Another, darker part of Kaelyn is also in a different crevice of her mind, but it is more easily accessible and doesn’t come when Kaelyn wants it to. It comes whenever Kaelyn lowers her guard, when she is most tired, or simply forgets to lock that door in her mind. It strikes with massive power that Kaelyn cannot control. It is almost like an alter-ego, but not quite. Kaelyn becomes a different person when it strikes, a part of this can be seen in Lucifer. She becomes mostly enraged and not at all like her quiet self. This is when her Aura can peak, but Kaelyn can become bed-ridden for an undetermined amount of time when she unleashes that power. Kaelyn, in this unexplainable state, is raucous, destructive, and sometimes out of control. She’ll burn out eventually, but not until she destroys everything in her path, or someone stops her. Kaelyn never remembers these times, and when she wakes up, Lucifer has usually gotten her far enough away from the site.
Kaelyn used to like lots of things. Like ice cream and cake. But she doesn't have a taste for those anymore. She used to like being care-free and not having to worry about things. Now she has to worry about her safety, and that of her daemon's, where the food is, where shelter is, where the water is, and if someone's following her. She does, however, still enjoy some foods such as most berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and a few others), lots of fruit, some vegetables like broccoli and carrots, and some other foods. What she likes best is meat, red meat. What she doesn't like is most vegetables and some other food items.
Kaelyn loves the color blue, but lately she sometimes sees red. Kaelyn also likes running, climbing to large heights, and exploring, at least when she was younger. She loves swimming and watching nature run her course. She just doesn't like being caught in the rain, as it dampens most of her senses to short distances and she has to rely on Aura to sense, which she really can't do very well in the first place. Using it for prolonged amount of time doesn't help either. It gives her headache and she can't focus for a while afterward. Anything else that happens, Kaelyn is partial to, some of it really doesn't matter. Except the person responsible for her parents' death.
History: Kaelyn was born as natural pokemorphs are born; two pokemorphs find each other, find that they like the other and get married. And anything that happens after that is just plain normal. Kaelyn’s father was a Ninetales pokemorph, not uncommon, and her mother was a Lucario pokemorph. Now, of course female Lucario are rare, whether they are pokemon or –morph, and Kaelyn’s mother was very glad when she successfully bore Kaelyn into the world, as she had miscarried twice before with two males. Kaelyn is an only child, but when she was young, she didn’t seem to mind. Child innocence and ignorance is bliss; Kaelyn thought that her life was the way it was supposed to be. Her, her mother, and her father living peacefully on the edge of town, in a nice house with everything that they needed to survive, as well as some luxuries. Kaelyn grew up mainly alone, however. She didn’t see the need for a lot of friends and only had a few. Maybe one or two that see didn’t see very often in the first place. Despite her lack in social skills, Kaelyn was a happy and gaily little girl.
Kaelyn’s normal routine was to wake up, at the crack of dawn usually (she was a very early riser), and pounce on her parents, poking the spikes on her mother’s hands and her father’s tails (she would never pull them; her Father had warned her that it was the worse thing to do). She would encourage them to get up and start the day and when they ignored her or playfully tickled her out of the room before going back to sleep, she would go back to her room and work on something she had been doing the night before, a picture maybe, or just play with a toy that she had, or just curl up with her daemon and take a small nap. At a more reasonably time, she would open the door to her parents’ room (they always closed it after she woke them up the first time), and pounce on them again, this time making more noise, such as saying “It’s time to get up!” repeatedly, or shouting the time. At this time her parents would usually grumble, check the time, and roll out of bed. Knowing that his little girl was still in the room, Kaelyn’s father would cover himself up with his tails, grab some clothes, and go into the bathroom to change. Kaelyn never knew the reason for that “odd” behavior and would never find out, at least not from her father. Kaelyn’s mother would simply get up from the bed and rummage around for something to wear. Sometimes Kaelyn’s mother would roll her eyes and chuckle at her mates’ antics, but nothing was ever said of it.
After that, Kaelyn would run to her room, pick up her daemon who usually changed into something a little girl could carry, and then run downstairs, grabbing herself a plate and a fork, ready for her mother to cook breakfast. Coming down more slowly would be her parents, and after having a morning kiss, which Kaelyn ignored, her father would sit opposite from his daughter. Her mother would take out items from the fridge and begin making the first meal of the day. After the family settled down to eat, Kaelyn’s parents’ daemons would usually come sauntering down to see if they could snag anything. Her mother’s and father’s daemons, an Arcanine and a Vaporeon respectively, would usually lay down under the table, entwined in each other, evidence that the two pokemorphs’ love was strong and caring. Kaelyn always thought that the two daemon’s actions were funny and she would watch as they attempted to get out from under the table when they were so wrapped up in each other, which was usually after breakfast while the dishes were being done.
While her parents went to work, Kaelyn went to school. She learns about a lot of stuff during the school day, including basic math, reading, and, of course, about pokemon. Kaelyn remembers a day when her teacher announced that the class would be learning about Kaelyn evolutionary line, Riolu and Lucario. The memory that Kaelyn remembers the most, is when the teacher asked her to stand up and show the class what Aura looked like. Never having tried calling her Aura before, Kaelyn tried her best. She put her hands very close together and frowned, trying to look inside herself for what was supposed to be there. She tried very hard. She stood in front of the whole class, concentrating on a small spot just behind the space between her hands. In the end, she only managed to produce a small ball of Aura about the size of a hummingbird’s egg. It was barely visible and disappeared almost as soon as Kaelyn had got it to appear. Many of the other students laughed, and one even commented obnoxiously that HE could have done a better job, considering the speaker was an Exploud-morph. Ashamed, Kaelyn hung her head and hurried back to her seat. She kept her head down as she sat. Her teacher asked her if she had ever done that and Kaelyn furiously shook her head, keeping her face toward the floor. Her teacher assured her it was ok and asked the class to settle down, continuing with the day.
After that school day was over, Kaelyn hurried home to her parents, who were always home when she got back. As soon as she burst in the door, she called for her mother and when she came down, asked her about Aura and explained the day at school. Her mother told her that not all Riolu and Lucario-morphs could call upon Aura. Demonstrating with a ball of Aura the size of her hand, Kaelyn’s mother explained that it took a lot of hard work, determination and many years of meditating for a poke-morph like Kaelyn to use Aura efficiently. Her mother also explained to her daughter that it had taken her at least five years to be able to summon Aura easily, and then it wasn’t very much. Kaelyn nodded, understanding, and thinking that the subject was way out of her league, she soon forgot about it entirely.
Another vivid memory Kaelyn has is her thirteenth birthday. On Kaelyn’s thirteenth birthday, her parents handed her a beautiful necklace with a multi-colored orb hanging from it as a present. Her parents told her that it was very special and would protect her. Shrugging, thinking that it was only a story to make her keep the necklace on, Kaelyn took the gift, thanked her parents, and slipped the piece of jewelry over her head. Kaelyn didn’t know it at the time, but the necklace was charmed somehow, as protection. Against what, her parents never told her the real reason for the necklace, only that it was very precious and very powerful.
Kaelyn’s days were filled with school mostly and she didn’t spend much of the rest of her time with other people, except her parents. Her parents never commented on their daughter’s choice of isolation, and Kaelyn never thought about it, as she was perfectly fine with it. However, sometimes having even one close and loyal friend nearby is always better than having none at all.
One day shortly after Kaelyn’s fourteenth birthday, something happened that changed Kaelyn’s life forever. The day started out as normal; Kaelyn, having dropped her childish antics, woke up early as usual and went downstairs to cook breakfast. By the time Kaelyn was done and had eaten her breakfast, her parents were just getting up and coming down for their own meal, which Kaelyn had already cooked. After her parents came down, Kaelyn walked out the door to walk to school, a fifteen or twenty minute walk, or a seven minute run if Kaelyn wanted to. Most of the day was normal, school was normal, and Kaelyn took her time getting back home. The family sat for dinner like normal, and that’s when the day turned abnormal. Just as her father sat down, a knock was heard at the door. Sighing, Kaelyn’s father stood back up, swished his tails, and walked over to the door. As he opened the door, he was blasted into the hallway by a powerful beam of energy. Knocking her chair over in her haste to defend her mate, Kaelyn’s mother shot a ball of Aura at the attacker and helped her mate get back on his feet. That had happened so quickly that Kaelyn had had no time to react at all. When she did, it was to dive and knock all three of them out of the way of an incredible Blast Burn attack.
Heart pounding and head spinning from the lack of oxygen that the fire attack had sucked from the air, Kaelyn forced herself up and turned to the person in the doorway. She couldn’t see anything except that the person wore a long black, non-descript trench coat, and his daemon was an evil looking Houndoom. In front of the man was a powerful looking Typhlosion, which was where the Blast Burn attack had come from. The man grunted and ordered his pokemon to attack again. While Typhlosion began building power for another attack, the man let out another pokemon beside the fire-type, a blue pokemon that looked kinda odd. Kaelyn didn’t know that names of the man’s pokemon, only knew what she supposed their types were. The fire-type was obvious, but the blue one, she supposed was a water-type. The odd sheen the blue pokemon adopted shortly after puzzled her, but in the midst of a battle she couldn’t take much time to think about it. The blue pokemon shot something at her mother and she went down with a cry. Her mother did not get back up. Seeing his mate go down, Kaelyn’s father gave a roar and summoned something of his power, forcing it into a beam of energy and pushing it at the man, his pokemon and his daemon. The blue pokemon leaped in the way of the attack and held a rainbow-like substance around it. The attack hit the pokemon at an angle and instead of the pokemon being pushed back, it bent back and then the attack rebounded, straight at Kaelyn. Not having enough time to move out of the way, the attack hit her full power and the pain of it caused her to lose consciousness.
When she woke, the man was gone. Her parents were dead. Her home obliterated. Her life, as she knew it, was destroyed. A new feeling, hatred and a thirst for revenge grew in her and as she stood up and left her ravaged life behind, something began to change in her soul. As soon as Kaelyn had walked a few miles away from that ruined Town, she realized her mistake. She had no idea where that man was, or where she was in that regard. Anger, an emotion she had barely grasped, would not give her food, or a place to stay. Frightened for the second time in her life, Kaelyn spent several days and scary nights in the forest, her daemon usually an Arcanine to keep her warm and safe. She traveled up into the mountains, where she collapsed, exhausted. At one point, she awoke groggily to find an Ursaring looming over her, apparently thinking she was a midnight snack. Scared out of her mind, she cried out and forced herself to try to get away from the creature. Seeing that Kaelyn was in danger, her daemon charged at the Usaring. Changing into a Charizard to protect Kaelyn, he fought off the normal-type pokemon and then carried Kaelyn, who had fallen asleep again from the toll the excitement took on her, to a nearby village where he stood over her and watched her, like a guardian.
When Kaelyn at last awoke, it was to the fierce face of an overprotective Arcanine, her daemon. Making a noise that made him back up, Kaelyn sat up and wildly looked around her. She found herself in a room, in a nice bed, next to a window with the sun shining brightly through it. Tensing, Kaelyn tiptoed out of the room, her daemon padding softly behind her. She was in a long hallway, the colors reminding her of a sweet old Grandma’s house. Off to the right were more doors, one slightly open. To the left was a staircase that led to the first floor. Deciding first to peek into the room with the open door, she crept to the right, stopping stock-still whenever the old floor creaked, which was often. Once she got to the door, she peeked through, seeing various personal items and such, but no person. Summoning a little bit of courage, Kaelyn pushed the door open, ignoring how much the hinges squeaked, and stepped through into the room.
The room was small, simple, and a little boring. There was a twin-sized bed, a dresser with an oval mirror above, and a sliding door to the closet. On the bed was a quilt that looked like it was homemade. It was an intricate mesh design of squares and diamonds in various colors. Looking from the bed to the dresser, Kaelyn saw a picture of a small family; a Grandma and Grandpa, their son or daughter and wife or husband, and their children. They looked completely human. All human, with no worries. It made Kaelyn remember what she had lost and the wound was ripped open again. Tears ran down Kaelyn’s face and she crumpled to the ground. Worried for her health, her daemon turned into a Typhlosion and carried her back to her bed.
When Kaelyn next awoke, again to the furred face of an Arcanine, she could hear noises and bangs from down stairs. Someone was cooking apparently. Carefully, she eased away from the bed, and slowly made her way down to the first floor. The sight that met her was not surprising as she stepped off the last step and into the kitchen. An old lady, roughly four times as older than Kaelyn had her back to her and was stirring something on the stove. Whatever had been banging was gone. The old woman suddenly turned around for something and spotted Kaelyn at the doorway.
The lady was a bit large, maybe more on the heavy side than anything else, but she looked kind. Grey streaks colored her faded auburn hair and a healthy glow about her small face complemented her deep brown eyes. The woman looked at Kaelyn and said,
“Why, hello, child. I’m glad to see that you are awake. When your daemon landed in my backyard, I didn’t know what to think. You must have come from far away. Your daemon was exhausted when he landed. Why, he slept almost as much as you did. But, enough about that. Would you like some supper?”
“Um, ok..” Kaelyn’s voice trailed off as she watched the large woman turn gracefully despite her bulk and ladle soup into four bowls sitting on a tray. The old woman carefully balanced the tray on her hand as she maneuvered to the table and set the food down. Then she sat herself and motioned for Kaelyn to do the same.
“My daemon, Manuth, always sits with me at dinner." The woman explained as a Swinub came shuffling over from somewhere and hopped from the floor to a chair and onto the table. The woman smiled and turned her gaze to Kaelyn ‘s daemon, who had just shifted into an Alakazam again, to be more polite at the table.
“It’s been a long time since my daemon was able to shift. Really, I don’t know what causes them to stop or lose that ability. But, enough chitchat. Let’s eat.”
Kaelyn accepted the bowl of soup and listened quietly as the old woman recounted tales of her own Pokemon Journey, explaining that she had loved to travel when she was younger. “Eventually I met my husband and we settled down and had a life.” The woman closed her story. She looked at Kaelyn and her empty bowl. “Would you like some more, dear?”
“No, Thank-you. We’ve had enough. I think it’s time we went on our way. Thank-you very much for your hospitality.” Kaelyn replied.
“Oh, all right, then. Have a nice journey, young girl. By the way, the professor’s Lab is just inside Town. We’re on the outskirts to the west of Town. You can go there to start your journey.” Kaelyn thanked the old woman again and was escorted to the door. Kaelyn left the old woman’s house with a lot to think about. She turned to her daemon and was suddenly hit with a memory of her last moments with her parents. She doubled over and cried out. Shivering, she stayed like that for quite a while until she drifted off to sleep. Inside her, something shifted and her soul was fragmented, a swirling black space where her parents used to be.
When Kaelyn, again, woke up, the sun was shining in her face again and it looked like she was nestled in the roots of a giant tree. Kaelyn sat up and looked for her daemon and found at the entrance. He was an Arcanine this time, but an Absol. He looked a little messed up too. He was larger and his fur longer and more ragged. He looked like he had half-dragged her to the tree when she fell unconscious. What made Kaelyn gasp when her daemon turned to look at her, was his horn. It looked sharpened on both sides, curved inward more than normal and was a zig-zag at the point.
I am your Soul, Kaelyn. I don’t mind what I look like. I think it makes me look quite fierce, actually. The Absol daemon smiled, revealing quite a lot of sharp fangs. My name is Lucifer, Kaelyn, and I will always protect you. But, we should go to that Lab the old lady was talking about. It seems like a good idea. The daemon stood, and waiting for his other half, lead the way to the lab.
This is where Kaelyn’s old life ends, and where her new one begins.
Name: Lucifer
Form (if settled): Absol
Favourite Forms (if not settled): N/A; Usually shifted between various medium-sized Pokemon such as Ninetales and Arcanine to give Kaelyn comfort. Settled with Absol.
Appearance: Lucifer looks like any Absol, albeit he’s a little ragged around the edges. His fur, unless he sits down to go through it, is often ragged-looking and dirty in some places. A few fangs show through on his upper lip, making him look a little more daunting. His claws are longer and sharper than most. Lucifer is a little bigger than most Absol you’d see, mostly for the need to protect Kaelyn as when he first hatched. His blade on the top of his head has a stronger edge, almost like a double-edged sword, and it is slightly bent in a zig-zag pattern the last two inches or so. The blade is also curved to the side to a higher degree, as though Lucifer slammed his head, and the blade, into something very hard and changed the direction of the point a little. The blade also shines with a luster of polished onyx.
Personality: Hatched to take care of Kaelyn, Lucifer could be seen as a careful parent. He looks after Kaelyn, makes sure she gets what she needs, etc. He is an extra pair of eyes for her, looking at this and pointing out other things she may have missed. Lucifer is very loyal, but he is patient and will wait when an argument arises. He is level-headed and will help those in need, provided they do not pose a threat to Kaelyn. Kaelyn comes first in his mind, anyone else second, and himself the last.
In times of uncertainty, Kaelyn often looks to Lucifer for suggestions, mainly for him to choose which way to go, or what to do. Lucifer can be a guardian of sorts, directing Kaelyn in the best choices in a situation. Lucifer is really to entirety of the two of them; Kaelyn is rather unstable in the best of times, whether it is scared-stiff or completely out of control and Lucifer is the anchor line, the lighthouse, and the safe dock in which she clings to in the tumult ocean she sometimes lives in.
(OOC: I’m looking at Vulpix, Growlithe, Horsea, Ditto, Eevee, Dratini, 3 Jhoto starters, Houndour, Miltank (not really), Larvitar, Mudkip, Trapinch, Beldum (not really), Piplup, Happiny, Bronzor, Spiritomb, Gible, Cielo line (Sebio and Aloise) ^^() I hope I get a high enough score for those. XD )

The Dæmon
