Welcome to the Character Creation Challenge!
So what is the Character Creation Challenge?
The Character Creation Challenge, the CCC for short, is a fun way to help you create a. hopefully, completely unique character while at the same time stretching your own creative writing skills. What it is exactly though is taking a bunch of random influences, a name, song, colors, and a pokemon, to influence the creation of the character. It'll make more sense the farther we get into it though so without further ado, let's get started.

Step 1- The Name
So, what is a character without a name? Nothing! But we don;t want to use the same old cliche, this name fits my character for these reasons thing. Do your parents name you for your future personality and events that will happen later in your life? No! So we use THIS SITE to get a random and unique name! After all, your parents just find you a name they like and slap it on you, so how much more random can it get? Who knows, you might even get one you like.
Step 2- Theme Song
Really? A Theme song? YES! Songs are packed full of messages and different ways to be interpreted for different situations, so giving your character a theme song can give them a bit of depth. Now I know you have a song in mind already now, but forget it. That wouldn't be giving you much of a challenge to use a song you already have in mind. Insead let's go to PANDORA and if you haven;t already make and account and a station using any song you like. The first song that plays is your character's Theme Song, no take-back-sies. Incorporate that song into their personality and their history.
Step 3- Dæmon/Pokemon
Here in Erena, a person's dæmon says a lot about the person. So you want them to be fiesty and their dæmon is a growlithe? Overused and overrated. Instead, let's use A POKEMON SPRITE RANDOMIZER to get you your dæmon. If you character is old enough for the dæmon to have settled, click the GENERATE ONE button. If not click the GENORATE THREE button. Now, if you really wanted to, you could click past the first one if you hated it, but where would be the fun, or the challenge, in that? (Of course if it is a legendary you'll have to change it xD)
Step 4- Bring in a Little Color
Color have a lot of different connotations to different people. Some people think pink is innocent, yet I know of its underlying evi- *cough cough clears throat* Anyways, let's give your character three main colors for them to be based around. Luckily I have our HANDY DANDY COLOR RANDOMIZER right here for us to use today. Now I guess you don;t have to use all of the colors it gives you, but then again that is the challenge.
Step 5- Look at this Horrible Mess!
Okay, so this doesn't always work out very well, huh? Miss Lizzy Anne Dutchens here has the theme song of womanizer, a ralts dæmon, and bright pink, Puke Green, and Blinding yellow as her colors. What can I possibly make of this? Well I could try and overcome the biggest challenge ever and wind up with a character that doesn't make any sense, despite my best efforts, or I could start the process over again. Yes, sometimes this method doesn't turn out so well. I like to go through it a few times, listing the results on my notepad computer application, to give me some choice when I actually want to make the challenge character. A good thing to do is eliminate any possibly Mary-Sues (Hope Angela Birds- Barbie Girl, eevee, light pink, pale yellow, and light blue) and any complete sob stories. (David Zachery Goth- How could this happen to me (Unnamed), cubone, dark gray, dark blue, black) Stick to ones that seem interesting and plausible (May Carry Peterson- Stop and Stare, Pineco, Dark Green, Dull Brown, Light pink)
Step 6- Putting it all Together
A good thing to do when you try to actually make this character, is look for similarities in the elements that have been chosen to make your character. Maybe there is a strong alliance of shy or flirtatious themes you can incorporate into their personality. maybe the description of the pokemon their dæmon has taken the form of matches a certain lyric in their theme song, inspiring a thing from their past. And remember that you can always take your artistic freedoms, interpreting the lyrics or colors however you like and incorporating them wherever you like.
Step What?- Taking it a step Farther
So that wasn;t challegning enough? Try taking all of the ranks and numbering them 1 through whatever, then rolling a die mathcing the number from THIS AWESOME DICE site. You can do this with all sorts of things besides rank; age, gender, eye color, hair color, height, weight, and so much more! Be sure to also check out the reasources to help you out and take it even farther!
