As quiet as ever, Abby's steps rang through the silence of the forest around her. She liked it when it was quiet; it gave her time to think about things. At this point, she was thinking about her team of Pokemon. Her fingers brushed against each of her Pokeballs gently, thinking about the Pokemon inside of them.
First, of course, was Sundancer. The Ponyta was her first Pokemon, and although she was still a little jumpy, Abby could tell that she was starting to warm up to her. Moon was next, a tiny Skitty that had given up on life when she had found him. After protecting him from a Sentret, he had decided to come with her.
The third Pokemon was Razor, a Scyther that she had caught recently. She could tell that he would probably be difficult; it had taken a long and hard battle to catch him, and he had been a powerful fighter. Fourth was her Christmas present, a beautiful and sweet shiny Lapras that she had named Aurora. The two were pretty close already due to Aurora's gentle nature.
She paused over the last one, the Pokeball holding Blackberry. Blackberry was a Glameow that she had received from her aunt recently. From what Abby could tell, Blackberry was snobby and vain, so she would probably perform well in the appeal stage of a contest. However, it would be battling that would prove to be a problem. Her aunt had let her know in her letter about Blackberry's disdain for Purugly.
Shaking her head slightly, Abby continued on, Arthur perched on her shoulder. The Hoothoot knew how she felt about the quiet, so he didn't say anything. The two simply continued on their way, enjoying the sights and wondering if a wild Pokemon would show up.
