pine laboratory!
"a place of new beginnings"
-IMG WILL GO HERE-
Situated in the quiet town of Priono (pree-oh-no), Pine Laboratory is without a doubt the most interesting building in the surrounding area. Priono is small, made up of neat little old-fashioned houses and shops. The residents are kind people, often people interested in science and attracted by the lab, or ex-trainers who have settled down after their journey. Pretty much everyone owns a Pokémon, so there are a lot of them about the town with their companions. The town itself is set in the countryside, surrounded by green. The cobbled streets are lined with flowers and dotted with trees, making a beautiful place.
The lab, however, contrasts with all the old fashioned buildings around it. A new building, it is very obviously the lab. There are two stories to it so not to be an eyesore above everything else, and covers a lot of area. It looks refreshingly modern, someone managing to get away with looking so different. There is a lot of land surrounding it, too, all secure and with high security. The Pokémon playing and living inside belong to trainers, since this is where they go when in the PC. The security is there to keep people from stealing them, and does a very good job. It isn't too noticable, since the security mainly relied on the fact that the stronger Pokémon can very easily deal with intruders. The lab is on the outskirts of town, so has lots of room for expansion when more land is needed for the Pokémon.
Inside the lab is a lot of equipment, but the only room most new trainers get to see is a large one with a number of soft sofas and posters along the walls. There are a couple of tables covered in Pokémon books, a desk and some filing cabinets containing the starter's Pokéballs- Professor Pine has the key to these, of course. There is a lot of room so that the new trainers can meet their starter choices. It is air conditioned in summer, and heated in winter. The glass doors are automatic, so there is no need to knock any more now that the Professor has had a little rennovation!
The Professor himself will rush from his work to greet whoever walks in the door, usually. He does have assitants, but they aren't authorised to register new trainers yet. Pine and his dæmon Telepa are usually very happy to help people, although they really hate trainers who haven't even given their starter a moment's thought. Professor Pine has Pokémon of his own; Lucario, his starter, Mantine, Arcanine, Joltik, Armaldo and Noivern. These Pokémon are all very strong but he mostly only has them for companionship, although he can fight if needed, making a tough opponent. His Pokémon are rarely seen by starting trainers, but might occasionally pop out for a prank.

There are three lab assistants; Xeno, Harriet, and Melinda. Xeno is a tall, thing, gangly young man with large glasses, dark hair and dark eyes. He is a very obvious nerd and is a little bit of a wimp, but nice enough. Harriet is a short, peppy girl barely past twenty years old with long ginger hair. Melinda is a Jamaican woman with braided hair, a think accent, and a very likeable, generous personality. Xeno's dæmon is Fiona the Natu, Harriet's George the Pachirisu, and Melinda's Oscar the Chatot.
Every month, Pine Laboratory receives a shipment of starter Pokémon. Each trainer may request to see up to three of these. They may also ask to see up to three Pokémon of up to three different types of their choice, which will then be randomly generated. Rarity doesn't matter in the lab, so you are just as likely to get an ultra rare Pokémon as you are a very common one. There is a normal chance (5%) of getting a shiny starter. All starters will be in their first stage of evolution. The three Enera starters, Tigrily, Flarepup and Beavern, are available to all trainers, all year round;
