► Ajax coughed as Elika directed Chikorita’s attack—not a natural cough. He couldn’t help it—he could see that the gym leader was far more experienced than he at directing Pokemon, and he could indeed see that he would be hard-pressed to win this battle, even with Meccido at a higher level than Chikorita. But what the Scizor boy had never understood about Pokemon battles was how the trainers yelled out what the Pokemon should do, so that all could hear. Wouldn’t the opposing trainer and Pokemon be able to think of a counterattack like that, especially for something such as ‘feint’? It made no sense him. ”Um, well, watch out for that feint, Meccido,” he said awkwardly, the cough’s echo in the wide stadium stifled by the grass on the gym floor. «
► Meccido winced at the Growl; the little dinosaur had done that a couple times now, but at least all those earlier Charms would dull the effect of both of Chikorita’s moves. He shifted uneasily, bunching his haunches and fluffing his tail, watching Chikorita and waiting for the feint but obviously not knowing when it would come. Ajax noticed Chikorita looked a bit stiff—maybe she was close to paralysis! That would really, seriously help—and if not, he supposed he’d just have to give up and revert back to Quick Attacks, though technically Spark was a stronger overall move anyway, aside from the weakness block. He planned on using the electric squirrel’s speed and grass-type’s slowness to dodge the Razor Leaf and score the hit, since Chikorita was fairly far away from Meccido at this point. ”Use Quick Attack forward to skirt by the Razor Leaf and get near her, then another Spark!”«
► Momentarily, Meccido leaned heavily on his front paws as the poisoning took its brief effect—he was starting to realize it definitely had the potential to drain a good chunk of his hitpoints, but he was still able to stave off the effects. Taking a deep breath, Meccido suddenly darted forward, becoming a blur as he executed the Quick Attack. However, he hadn’t taken into account Chikorita’s accuracy and anticipation of movement, and he gritted his teeth in a light hiss when several of the Razor Leaves struck his side, leaving long pale gouges on his shoulder and tail. Even so, his momentum carried him near to Chikorita, and the blur of a Quick Attack abruptly changed into a ball of electricity that sped towards the grass-type. «
Ooc:// Spark is a physical move; so is Razor Leaf, so both of them are affected by the various Charms/Growls.
