It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This is an ex-forum!
While we're leaving the site up to keep all that happened here, this site is dead. We have moved! We're still going, with a number of changes, at a new location: enerarpg.proboards.com
This is Enera, a Pokémon roleplay where everyone has a dæmon like in the His Dark Materials Series.
After a long period of inactivity, we are back in action! Some major changes are being made right now, so bear with us as we sort out how the site will work, the setting and an all-new plot!
I've been working on a lot of stuff for the site. The new winter skin exists now! I'll be updating it with new images and possibly a different background, too ~Birdy
The Pokédex is slowly being updated. I've started working on profiles for all the NPCs as well, but pictures of them won't go up until my tablet stops having tantrums every time I open Photoshop. Oh, and I can't draw, that might be an issue. I'm working on a format for NPC PCs too, so that'll happen soon.
With the release of X and Y last month, the new Pokémon will be appearing around Enera now. I just need to update all the gym leaders and routes and stuff.
Remember to check out the X and Y giveaway!
Something is stirring in the North. Panserbørne, the great sentient armoured bears, are growing restless. Witches have been affected too by this mystery problem, and have been seen much further south than normal. One or two sightings have even been claimed in the northern most reached of Enera, but that can't be true, right? Witches are tough and hard to spook, so surely nothing would drive them out of their homes in the North?

The nights are drawing in, and the days grow colder, the leaves not quite ready to change colour yet. Cloudy days are common, the wind picking up. It is not cold yet, but rain is becoming more common. Pokémon are starting to prepare for the winter.
Atra was definitly glad that the Beedrill was paralized. She backed off and circled it slightly, using another Leer. She tried to dodge the Poison Sting when it came, too, but failed. She was poisoned, too. She growled angerly at the other Pokemon. She was weakening. "Ember!" Sky called, trying really hard not to hurt or wake the Taleo in her arms. Flames appeared as the Houndour used an Ember attack.
Yes! Finally that stinking Houndour was poisoned! The Tsuasa grunt clapped his hands appreciatively—it seemed like the battle was, even if both Pokemon weren’t looking fabulous, in his favor. Hopefully, the winged Trainer didn’t have any Potions on her—if she did, she’d get the advantage. Well, then again, she probably didn’t—she probably would have used it by now, after the fight with the Sunkern. But if she had some and he could steal them, they’d be great use to him…he signaled to his dæmon and she nodded, swooping closer to Sky and trying to peek inside her bag, but not so close as to be noticeably creeping on her. He tried to cover up his signaling by yelling out, ”Fury Attack, Beedrill! However, Glameow noticed and flicked his tail at Cloud. ~Watchout,~ the cat said quietly.
Luckily for Sky and Atra, the Beedrill was sufficiently paralyzed enough that he wasn’t able to dodge the Ember attack. Scorched by the full heat of the flames, his wings were starting to look ragged, the thorns on his arms wilting a little. Shooting an angry glare at Atra, he struggled against the paralysis to use Fury Attack and finally managed to make two weak shots at the dog. Unluckily, the shouting and action did manage to wake the Taleo. She shifted, raising her head wearily. ~Are we…there at the Pokemon Center yet?~
she asked blearily, not quite understanding what was going on since she was still half-asleep. [/blockquote]
Sky glared at the daemon as she glided around the battle feild, though she didn't know what she was doing. Too bad for the grunt, she did have some potions on her, but she wasn't going to use one just yet. She had heard stories of Tsuasans stealing Pokemon and items from trainers. ~Thanks,~ Cloud replied jsut as quietly to the Glameow.
Atra was able to dodge the first shot, but felt the poison kicking in and stop for just enough time to be hit with the second. She Howled to raise her attack, and burst forward with another Thunder Fang. Another few hits and she would be knocked out, unless Sky returned her or used a Potion.
Annoyed, the Gligar dæmon held her spot, irritated that Sky was indeed keeping tabs on her. Drat. Her claws slowly cut into the tree limb she was sitting on, creating long gouges in the tree’s bark. Glameow, for his part, simply return Cloud’s thanks with the tiniest of nods, flicking his tail tensely. Some of him wondered what exactly he was doing here, staying by the winged trainer and her dæmon; he should, by all means, be running helter skelter for the trees. Glameows weren’t too rare, but he was sure the hard-eyed trainer that Sky was battling against with the cruel Beedrill wouldn’t mind snapping up an extra Pokemon. He glanced at Taleo, who now had realized what was happening and blinked fearfully, drawing closer into Sky’s arms and feebly showing her small teeth.
Beedrill clicked vengefully as he was struck a second time with the attack-boosted Thunder Fang, unable to move due to paralysis. Yet, the electricity from the second electrical attack seemed to almost dispel current paralysis, and he felt his limbs jumping back into action. He crumpled awkwardly due to the sudden freedom, but zipped back upward quickly, although he wobbled a bit once hovering due to his injuries. The grunt knew that the paralysis would probably be coming back soon—he cupped his hands to his mouth and yelled, ”Beedrill, another String Shot and Fury Attack!” Elated by the ability to once again move his limbs, Beedrill gleefully buzzed and shot a wad of sticky string at Atra, hoping to lower her speed yet again. Once that was done he feinted sideways, took aim, and shot a glorious Fury Attack of 5 full needles. Taleo drew in her breath, seriously worried—those really looked like they could cause a faint if all of them hit. But Beedrill was also clearly quite tired, for he lost altitude awkwardly after the effort of the attack and only barely managed to stop from crashing into the ground once more.
"Go back to sleep," Sky tried to sooth the Taleo in her arms, nodding to Atra to attack on her own for a bit. She remembered the Sunkern behind them, and hoped the Tsuasa didn't try to take back a different prize. The Houndour was hit by the string shot, but managed to dodge the first missle but was hit with the other four. This was it for her. She managed to send out one more Ember before she feinted. Sky had to think fast about who to send out next. Wooper and Shadow were water, and Star was the strongest, but still shiny. Her Buziel, she decided would be next.
Taleo gasped audibly when Atra fainted, and Glameow hissed loudly, fur puffing around him to make him look twice the size that he actually was. The Tsuasan Grunt sneered, clearing his throat, looking like was about to make some serious demands of Sky. But then Sky threw Shadow’s Pokeball, the Buizel appearing with a flash of red light. He and his dæmon froze simultaneously, and their eyes flicked to Sky’s belt, counting 2 more Pokemon there, not to mention the Glameow beside her. Beedrill flew in wobbly circles, starting to become hindered by the paralysis once more, but waving his thorns about eagerly and loudly buzzing his indignation at yet another opponent.
The Grunt was not stupid; he realized that he was probably in over his head here. But his pride would not allow him to give up quite yet. ”Harden and Poison Sting, Beedrill. See how strong the Buizel is,”
he commanded, voice not shaking. Beedrill obediently flew forward, pausing to stiffen and Harden his wings and soft insect body before he dived somewhat awkwardly towards Shadow and released the flying poisoned stinger. The attack was a little off due to the wobblyness of Beedrill’s dive, but hopefully the dive-bomb manuver would startle the Buizel into running into the attack. Then again, it was possible that Sky might just be swift enough to warn him to keep still or dodge in the opposite direction. [/blockquote]
As Shadow was a level below Atra, he wasn't quite as strong, but he could still finish what the hound began. The morph wasn't fast enough to warn him, but he still backed away from the attack, only taking a small bit of damage. He was poisoned, though, and that caused his trainer to call for a Growl attack, so the damage would balence itself, hopefully. She also called for a Quick Attack. He began with the fist attack, attempting to lower the Bedrill's attack stats, then running forward with a burst of speed. It would take longer to defeat the Bedrill with a Buziel than it would've with a Houndour, because of the weakness, and besides, Atra was level 9, while Shadow's level 8.
The grunt winced as his Beedrill suffered both the Growl and the Quick Attack. Things were really looking bad here despite Shadow’s poisoning—the paralysis seemed to be getting to Beedrill again as well, for the bee’s wings were moving slugglishly. ”Fury Attack!” Beedrill turned to Shadow buzzing angrily and ready to give the water-type another beating. As Beedrill prepared to fire, however, electricity laced across his body with a loud zap, sending him crashing to the floor and unable to move. The Tsuasa grunt jumped as his Gligar dæmon nudged him, and he nodded—Beedrill was clearly going to faint soon. They would have to run any time now. He swore under his breath to himself—the Team would be furious they had let such a good catch go.
Ooc:// Hey Birdy, if a trainer runs before the other trainer can faint their Pokemon, would the trainer’s Pokemon who won still gain experience? I think so, but I’m not sure.

Guest_Kaelyn: Ok... I googled Enera cause I was on my work computer and came up with this. 0.o Did the site move, Birdy? Also, I am so sorry for the long absence. I hope you'll forgive me? What's been happening?
Jan 27, 2014 13:17:44 GMT -5
Rin: Alright, I will then It'll probably take me a couple days.
Dec 29, 2013 22:30:39 GMT -5
Birdybot: Yeah, go ahead ^_^
Dec 29, 2013 5:25:01 GMT -5
Rin: Cool beans, I made an account there. Should I just transfer all my PC stuff and character data / route stuff over?
Dec 28, 2013 22:35:53 GMT -5
Birdybot: All right! I've worked on a few templates and planned everything out, so now I've created the new forum! enerarpg.proboards.com/
Dec 23, 2013 7:51:22 GMT -5
Rin: I do like the visiting towns idea - that way players could get to plot more easily and characters could meet up, which would be cool to see more of
Dec 23, 2013 3:02:40 GMT -5
Birdybot: I think to make it easier for characters to meet, any town can be visited at any time (by train etc), but the gyms will still have to be done in order. Also I was thinking of letting people buy apartments/houses in any town if they want
Dec 17, 2013 18:27:24 GMT -5
Birdybot: Yeah, characters would be transferred over. It's a big change, but I think big changes are needed to revive this site and moving is the cleanest way to do that
Dec 17, 2013 18:24:19 GMT -5
Rin: Whoa, that's a pretty big change Would we be allowed to carry over characters? I'd like to keep Ajax at his current progress if possible...I do agree about the fakedex thing though, that's pretty outdated at this point, and people can always resubmit.
Dec 17, 2013 17:34:15 GMT -5
Birdybot: Yeah anyway so over this weekend I'll get a new site set up with new everything and it'll maybe look OK but no promises
