&Career;; Tsuasa Grunt/Breeder
APPEARANCE
&Hair;; Short, Choppy, Straight, Black
&Eyes;; Steal Blue
&Height;; 6' 1"
&Weight;; 156 lbs
&Style;; Baggy and Comfortable
&Overall;;
» William is a tall and slender young man who might have made a good basketball player, had he had the mind for it. Instead he chose to pursue pokemon breeding, a career that has left his hands altogether in better condition. They are soft, if a little callused, from working carefully with eggs and baby pokemon for so long. In fact, William can't stand it when his long fingers start to feel rough and he can often be seen seeking out hand sanitizers, both to remove dangerous germs from his hands and to keep his skin smooth, soft, and moisturized. Rough skin can often upset baby pokemon.
» William has more than just the hands for taking care of young pokemon though, he also has the face. William has a slightly pointed face, just sharp enough to imply he has the ability to protect, but not so sharp as to appear dangerous. His eyes are those of a grown man, but hold gentle and caring expressions for baby pokemon that make them feel safe and happy. His nose is slightly rounded and not too long atop his slim mouth that has only a slight crease at the corners from smiling and a pair of dimples to match. His eyebrows are thin, and not too severely angled. Altogether a very nonthreatening face, as long as it hold the proper caring expressions.
» When William is angered or one of his charges threatened however, his eyebrows can turn to angle sharply over his eyes, transforming their expression from gentleness to a blazing dare to try and cross him. His dimples disappear as his teeth emerge in a silent snarl. His nose wrinkles threateningly and his face suddenly looks much sharper. Luckily this expression of pure disdain is very rarely used around pokemon hatchlings, and when used is usually used to protect them.
» William's face, no matter the expression, is framed by mostly short, choppy hair that falls down straight into his eyes now and again. It is a dark enough black to appear almost blue sometimes and is frankly a stringy, un-form-able mess often enough that he has taken to just sticking it all under a baggy hat and hoping it stays in place at least somewhat. In the humidity of summer it tends to puff out and sticks to his face with extra static electricity. Strangely enough though it is fairly soft to the touch, seemingly receiving as much care as his smooth hands.
» While William isn't too big on jewelry, he does wear an earring through his left earlobe and bares a pair of dog-tags around his neck on a silver chain at all times. The earring was a thing he did on a whim as a 13 year old, while the dog-tags were a gift from his father when he left to join the breeding facility's staff at the age of 12. At the time, one had born his name and date of birth while the other was left blank. While his father never told him why, William has since had Mary's and Lucie's names and birthdays to the second tag, a sign to himself of his own unrequited love.
» As far as clothes go, William is pretty laid back about them. His first priority is comfort, quickly followed by style and warmth. He prefers clothes that hang slightly loosely from his frame, so as to allow him to move freely and not feel squeezed into them. He also likes to look good though so he tends towards things with interesting but simple designs. Lastly, he tends to dress in layers, his many years caring for eggs making him subconscious about the low temperatures places outside of incubating rooms can hold.
» In the end, William's looks could probably be used for more than just caring for pokemon hatchlings and eggs. He is kinda of hansom, in a cool and relaxed, yet fierce, way. He could probably get a girl quite easily, but he had already sealed his heart on someone else, someone forbidden to him, and nos she is much too far gone for him to care about other girls.
PERSONALITY
&General;; Calm, Protective, Gentle, Kind, Fierce, Shy, Thoughtful, Faithful, Vengeful, Cold, and Determined
&Likes;; Warmth, Flowers, Hand Sanitizer, Spring Time, Young Pokemon, Puzzles, Books, and Soft Fabrics
&Dislikes;; Cold, Snow and Rain, Cameron, Liars, Coffee, Yellow things, Money, Being Alone, Improper Egg Care, and Mud
&Strengths;; Protective, Fierce, Faithful, and Determined
&Weaknesses;; Shy, Vengeful, Too Gentle, and Sometimes Rash
&Fears;; While not exactly a fear, whenever William sees a Gardevoir or ralts teleport, he is stunned for a moment by unbearable grief as it reminds him too much of Mary's dæmon passing, and scares him to think that Lucie's dæmon might have too.
&Hopes and Dreams;; William's hope is to catch Cameron and making him pay, his dream is to raise Lucie as his own to atone for not having protected and confessed to Mary when he could have.
&Quirks;; William has a bad habit of chewing his lip when he is thinking or when he is nervous.
&Overall;;
» When one first meets William, they likely see him as a very calm and cool sort of guy. He tends to act quite placid when nothing of interest is going on since he has become used to acting calm and reassuring for the pokemon babies. When he is around them though, he is not only always calm and collected, but has a light smile and gentleness to him that surprises most since if one sees him first away from the pokemon, they take him to be the "I don't do smiling" type.
» There are times however when William's cool manner will be melted away from him. These or normally times when he is protecting someone or something. When that something is a baby pokemon, he becomes fierce to protect them, allowing whatever he faces to know that it'll have to tear through him thoroughly before ever reaching the young one behind him.
» It used to be that protecting someone was about the only time when William would get riled up, but the recent events of Mary's death and Lucie's kidnapping have turned him from cool to cold outside of a pokemon nursery. Now he must work to be the cruel grunt that the others are so that he can stay one long enough to find Cameron and make him pay. Around the other grunts and people outside of the headquarters who know he is a grunt, he doesn't smile. Once in a while he'll even frown, something he has always loathed doing.
» Inside though, William hasn't changed much. He misses Mary dearly, but he doesn't allow his grief for her to turn him into a monster past trying to get her daughter back. And even that monster will pee back now and again when his inner will to protect someone overrules his facade. He tries to be sneaky and save people from behind the scenes, but if anyone seems to be catching onto him, he plans on stopping and hoping the other can make it on their own.
» William, is as he ever was, a good little gentle man when completely out of sight of the other Tsuasa grunts or even, once in a while, int their sights. He is courteous to women and doesn't brag to other men about his accomplishments. He accepts compliments with a bit of dismissal and acclaims at his conversation partner's better points. Though he dislikes drawn out pointless conversations so this rarely occurs anyways.
» A few of the other parts of William's personality that he has needed to hide lately include his shyness, thoughtfulness, and loyalty. With his shy habits, he has to fight through them, working to be out there and actively searching, which is much easier when he has a goal than when he is just grocery shopping. Mostly his shyness only applies to talking about himself anyways, so it isn't so bad.
» Where William was once obviously thoughtful and careful, he has now become quite rash, not only to fit in, but because of his need to find Cameron quickly. He doesn't think things through all the way like he used to. luckily he hasn't gotten into much trouble for it yet so far.
» While William obviously still needs to use his faithful side to convince Team Tsuasa he is their grunt, one and all, he doesn't allow himself to make close friends of the other grunts. Some day they may turn on him, and he doesn't want to be so faithful that he allows them to kill him as Mary did.
» Mostly though, William is still the same person inside as he was last year, before Mary died. He Still likes to joke about now and then and he handle her death fairly well. He feels as though she wouldn't want him to be unhappy, not that he wasn't depressed for the first month. He is still very gentle and kind when he can afford to be and he still loves Mary and Lucie with all of his heart. Yet, if Lucie were to be dead too, or if he were to loose her forever as well in a different way even, William might not fair as well. Deep down he knows that he s using Lucie to replace the part of his heart he lost when Mary died, and he sometimes feels guilty for it, until he remembers that he loved Lucie too, though as his own daughter, even if she wasn't his flesh and blood.

&The Full Story;;
William was born into an average household. His mother worked in a flower shop and his father was a ex-pokemon trainer engineer. William grew up surrounded by pokemon and was spoiled rotten by his mother who was always ready to give him what he wanted. Luckily for William, who might otherwise have been a completely spoiled brat, what he wanted was to learn all about taking care of pokemon and helping make baby pokemon. Thus one of his earliest lessons was how to take care of pokemon.
The first task his mother assigned him was to take care of a baby rattata egg that his father's raticate had laid. William's mother trusted him not to cause any harm to the egg and to keep it warm, so when he came to her, crying uncontrollably after some of the other neighborhood kids had tripped the toddler to try and steal his egg and instead had caused the egg to get crushed, she was stumped as for what to do to solve the problem.
Luckily William's father knew just what to do. He gently took his son aside and told him that not all eggs make it and that when they don't you had to be careful and bury the egg so that the baby pokemon could be born into a different egg. Whether he made it up on the spot to cheer up his son, or if he really believed it, William never found out. He only knew that his father always reminded him that everything got second chances. Including William.
So William was given a second egg, a mareep egg this time, and told that he should watch out for bullies who might try to steal his egg. It was around this time in his young life that Asmarie, his dæmon, started to enjoy taking on forms of protective pokemon. She would flit from bulbasaur to chansey to cubone, and all manner of pokemon that could care for eggs, even though she never touched the egg herself. This aptly reflected the change inside of William as well. He had started to become very protective of the eggs that came in and out of his care as his father's pokemon bred. Protecting these eggs made him braver and also turned him gentler than he had been as a rambunctious toddler.
In fact, he became so adapt at taking care of the eggs and making sure the baby pokemon were happy that his family started to sell pokemon to young trainers as a small side job for the income when William was only eight. His parents jokingly called him the youngest pokemon breeder, even though he had never actually had a hand in the breeding itself, his father's pokemon did that well enough for themselves.
At the age of 12, William's skills with young pokemon was taken notice of by an advanced pokemon research and distribution facility. He was invited on an internship to their breeding department and with his proud parent's consent, he began to learn all about the ins and outs of attracting two pokemon to each other and bringing them to lay eggs. He was found to have a natural gift at it and was jokingly called the pokemon love bug because wherever he sought out to create a love between two pokemon, one seemed to suddenly strike the two like a sickness. The pokemon weren't the only ones falling in love though. William was too, with a girl called Mary Reimer.
Mary worked in the same department as William and was two years older than him. She was very kind and caring to the pokemon and he came to care for her deeply. She was also very loyal to those whom she took to, especially her pokemon, and thus when she was 15 her dæmon settled as a male Gardevoir. William was completely taken with her, and while he never said anything, his Asmarie slowly started to prefer being a Gallade. It made perfect sense since William had grown into quite the gentleman, helping out those who needed it and protecting the weaker from those who would prey upon them in the pokemon nursery, but he feared it was also because of his love for Mary.
Luckily for him, Mary didn't seem to notice it, or at least she didn't make the connection. William slowly found himself doing small favors for her and trying to spend more time with her. By the time Asmarie settled on Gallade permanently, Mary had taken notice of his affection for her, though she thought him only a friend and didn't realize he wanted to be so much more then that. They spent more time together and she entrusted secrets to him. Once, Mary's dæmon played court to Asmarie, though Mary thought it to be a joke, or so she said, and William had a hope that perhaps Mary liked him too.
Of course, that hope was quickly crushed. One day Mary came to William, smiling broadly, and exclaimed that she had gotten a boyfriend. William had flushed with surprise and disappointment, but again Mary didn't seem to notice. As she gushed about the guy, William tried to be supportive. Smiling and nodding his head when he felt need to. He saw how happy she looked and he felt happy for her. But he himself felt as if a black-hole had been torn into his heart by Mary's dæmon.
In the days and weeks to follow, Mary went about half in a bliss, half in a rush. She started being late to work and looked exhausted by the ends of the days. She'd talk to William about how worn out she was, yet still insist that she was very happy. Finally he asked her why she was so exhausted and that if she was sick she should stay home. Mary laughed and said she wasn't sick, she had just gotten a second job where her boyfriend worked. When he inquired why she didn't just stop working at the breeding facility, she said it was because she couldn't stand to leave him, her best friend, alone. It left and even deeper pit inside of him. Mary, the ever loyal, was suffering because he had never bothered to make any other friends here.
William told Mary he'd be fine, but she insisted he would be lonely. Then she perked up with an idea. She invited him to come work as a breeder with her at her boyfriend's organization. William cringed at the thought of leaving behind his beloved job there to work at a place wit the man who had stolen his love's heart, but he didn't want her to be in pain. He agreed to work there and couldn't understand why mary seemed a little upset when he did.
Yet he soon found out why. The group she was working for thanks to her boyfriend was Team Tsuasa. They had made William at home in the breeding area before telling him what they really were, and from the guilty look on Mary's face he assumed she had gone through the same. At first he was angry, furious, but then he felt only sympathy towards Mary. His anger found another, easier target. Her boyfriend.
From there things only got worse. You were never allowed to leave Tsuasa, at least not with your life, and William wouldn't leave anyways, not as long as Mary was there. And Mary wouldn't leave as long as her boyfriend, now her fiance, Cameron, a Tsuasa Grunt, stayed there. He was in it for the money.
William couldn't help but hate Cameron. Not only did the man have to be four years his elder and have stolen the girl of William's dreams, he also tormented William for not being anything but a "pokemon lust maker." When Mary heard this she laughed it off and told her Fiance not to joke about so. William knew better. He knew Cameron knew that he loved Mary and he wanted to bully William away.
William stayed though. Through Mary's marriage and the news that she had a baby on the way. He then helped her through the times when after she had been married to Cameron for a full year and was halfway through her pregnancy, Cameron started to yell at her and even went so far as to slap her now and then. William always made sure she had a chance to cry it out to him, and even asked her once, begged her to eave him, but Mary, too loyal for her own good, insisted it wouldn't be good for their child. It would need a father. William wanted so badly to scream that he could be the child's father, though he was only 18. Somehow, he managed to hold back the words and simply comforted her as she cried.
When the day of Mary's labor came and went, he deeply regretted not having yelled at her to allow him to be the father. She had gone into labor prematurely because Cameron had beaten her over something petty. The labor was rough and in the end, Mary's heart failed her before the baby could be born. The child was emergency birthed by C-section and rushed to a ICU. It was a girl. She was named Lucie Grace by William, since he was the only one there and Mary had confided to him that she had always wished to have a little girl named Lucie Grace. Cameron wasn't present, he had run away to Team Tsuasa's hide out so as not to be caught by police.
William didn't bother to keep from crying after he got into the ICU to see little Lucie. Her tiny dæmon beside her was in the form of a ralts, for the moment, and it caused William to replay the scene of Mary's Gardevoir dæmon evaporating among the wild beeping of the heart monitor. It had been just then that William had known his love was gone. Yet here before him lay her child, the one he wished to be his own, a little ralts by her side. It was an image that made William want revenge on Cameron.
William left the hospital, with a promise to little Lucie that he'd be back to be her father, to find Cameron, and kill him. When he reached the man's bunking room though, all of his things were gone and one of the grunts reported seeing him packing up. They had assumed he was going to stay at the hospital with Mary for a while. William told him, curtly and coldly, that Mary was dead.
William then rushed back to the hospital, but when he got there, Lucie, his little Lucie, the last part of Mary he had left to love, had been kidnapped by her own father from the ICU. He never returned to Tsuasa and William, after a long week of grieving, decided the best thing to do was to stay with Tsuasa. They would track their own down and take him back, or kill him trying.
Yet after a nearly a year with no success, he is now going to join the grunts himself. No longer will he be a sniveling Tsuasa breeder, waiting for the retarded grunts to do their job. He will seek Cameron out for Tsuasa himself, and when he find him, he'll serve out their punishment for them and take back his little Lucie. But first, he had to try and seek out a starter pokemon. The Tsuasa Grunts laughed at him and convinced someone higher up that they ought to give William the unidentified egg they had stolen and wasn't hatching as his starter since he was such a good breeder. To them that was all William would ever be.
When he received the cold egg, everyone thought it dead and didn't care to allow him to be promoted to grunt unless he could hatch it. William however, couldn't let go of his last chance to get Lucie back. He cared for the egg, twice as hard as he'd ever cared for any egg before. For almost a month nothing happened. Now, the egg has started to shake and tiny fissures are appearing on the shell. Soon, he too will be a grunt. Soon, Cameron will die for what he has done...~~
Asmarie
GENERAL
&Name;; Asmarie
&Gender;; Female (though strangely she settled as a male only pokemon.)
&Form;; Gallade
&Age Settled;; 14
&Views on Form;; For William, Asmarie's form is a painful reminder of his complete failure, yet it still reflects him fairly well for the most part. He is still galliant and fights feircly when he feels need to, but without her he rarely feels the need to do so anymore.
APPEARANCE
&Settled;; Gallade
&Skin;; Normal Tone
&Eyes;; Normal Red Color
&Overall;;
» Asmarie looks like an almost normal gallade, in exception for one thing. She does not bare the round hips of a gallade. It is speculated by those who know her to be a girl that it is because she is a girl, something a gallade can't actually be, that this prominent part of the appearance is missing. For those who don;t know she is a girl, it is often assumed that she isn't and that Asmarie is a male, making William seem either retarded or gay to them. Something neither of them minds, let them underestimate them and die for it.
PERSONALITY
&General;; Sweet, Gentle, Playful, Fierce, Protective, and Vain
&Likes;; Chocolates, Games, Flowers, Story Books, Songs, and Children
&Dislikes;; The Cold, Cameron's Dæmon, Sour and Bitter Food, and Puddles
&Strengths;; Brave, Fast, Witty, and Trust-able
&Weaknesses;; Rash, Secretive, and Easily Insulted
&Fears;; Asmarie sees no reason to fear things, though she too is disturbed when she sees ralts and gardevior teleporting, if only for the fact that it upsets William so.
&Hopes and Dreams;; Asmarie hopes to find Lucie so that William can be happy again. She secretly also wishes that he'll find another woman to fall in love with because she doesn't feel as though him having only one child will satisfy her want for him to have children. Especially not if the child isn't his own flesh and blood.
&Overall;;
» Asmarie is both very alike, and very different from her human at the same time. She is obviously protective of him and others, just as he is, for she took on this form becuase it suited him and her best. She is just as ready to fight a person's dæmon to protect something weak as William is to fight the human. However she abhors from touching another's dæmon at any other time since she claims she'll only touch the dæmon of Wiliam's wife intimately.
» Asmarie is, in a way, very mother like. She isn't afraid to give people a good scolding but is often very gentle as well. She tends to not interfere when William needs her not to, but sometimes she just has to but in and say something.
» Highly unlike William, Asmarie is very vain. She thinks that both her name and her form are very beautiful and suited to her. She adores that she did not take on that "horrible watermelon hip" that real gallades suffer from.
» Most importantly though, Asmarie is William's dæmon. She loves him and others and is a gentle and kind being at heart. She loves to play and wishes that William could be as fully lighthearted as he used to be. She worries for him more than she'll ever really let him know.
