The man holding Bonsly grew more scared as the Pokémon failed to be of any use. Help was close at hand, though. The trainer he had run past had now been caught up with this whole ordeal, the Stantler gaining on her. The growl may have lowered a few of their defences, but did nothing to stop the anger and fear within the stampede. A few were affected by the Attract, stopping their running and trotting closer to Moon curiously. They glared at their competitors as they moved towards the Skitty. A few more at the front fell asleep from the Sing, those behind them growing a little drowsy and others still slowing to avoid the sleeping deer. The Leer again did little to help, a few of the youngest Stantler slinking away from the Scyther's glare. The Fake-Out did not have a very desirable effect. It caused damage to those hit, but they reared and cried out in shock and fear, redoubling their pace as the panic of the Stantler grew.
The relentless hooves were almost upon the trainer, man and Pokémon. Instead of running straight over them, however, the herd spread out, forming a wide circle. The group were surrounded. The deer stared intently at the group, a few pawing the ground in threat. A couple snorted. Something wasn't quite right. The air felt strange. There was a great feeling of being watched, and not just by the Stantler. The trees wavered slightly, or was that just their imagination? Eyes could be seen glinting for fleeting moments, gone in the blink of an eye as if they had ever been there at all.
