Sulteron was walking along the soft sand of Roure Four, her daemon Jizu as a Wingull high above, her shiny Absol Tayeko and Trapinch Cavo walking alongside her happily. ~I like it here.~

[/color] Tayeko stated firmly, enjoying the feeling of his paws squishing into the sand. Cavo nodded hurriedly in agreement, happy to be somewhere with sand under his feet, although the Ground type was keeping his distance from the water of the sea. Sulteron didn't mind that, happy to enjoy the beach. "Yep, and this place is supposed to be full of wild Pokemon waiting to battle. We might be able to catch ourselves a Water type! Or maybe we'll find another trainer!" the trainer 'morph girl exclaimed happily.

Cavo nodded again, his big head bobbing. ~I hope we see both! I'm not as strong as the rest of the team, so I'd like to do some serious training!~[/color] he said firmly. Sulteron had no idea whether he would be right or not, but she moved closer to the sea slow enough for Cavo not to notice until they were close, but he kept going anyway without minding too much. Tayeko was staring out to the waves lazily, clearly watching to see if he could see any Pokemon in the waves. Sulteron was looking from the sea to the sand, while Cavo stuck to the sand, both looking for wild Pokemon or other trainers. Jizu was getting a good view from the sky, too.[/size][/blockquote]

As it so happened, there was absolutely nothing consequential in sight except for the glittering sea and the cheerful sun high in the baby blue sky. A few Wingulls drifted this way and that, but they were high enough that only their faint silhouettes gave away what type of Pokemon they were. It seemed as if Sulteron's wish of another Trainer or a water Pokemon were going be nil. Yet as they neared a bend along the beachside, with a large sand dune and some sort of a large sandstone rock formation covered with reeds obscuring their view, there came a shout, followed by another from a different person.

Both yells were muffled by both the sound of the waves and the wind. Even so, they didn't sound very friendly. Not only that, but if they drew closer, the noises would begin to diverge, and the sound of scuffling, growls, shuffling, and yelping could be heard. Unfortunately, while the bend where the beaten route was curved sharply nearer to the seaside, so close that the water would be lapping uncomfortably near the feet of ground Pokemon like Cavo, the noises seemed to come sharply off to the right where feet and paws would sink deeply into the hot sand, impeding movement. Not to mention, the reeds seemed kind of thick there, and it was a significant turn off the main Route.

Sulteron's pointed green ears swivelled upon hearing the shouts. What could that be? The shouts didn't sound friendly, but then again neither did the snarls and yelps that followed. People shouting angrily, Pokemon snarling... The whole thing screamed Pokemon battle to her. Possibly not a friendly one, though. If it was a normal one, she wouldn't mind watching, and if it wasn't, she could help. Cavo was automatically moving in that direction anyway, not wanting to be near the water.

"I guess we could see what's going on. If it means watching a Pokemon battle, we could learn something and give us something to see." she smiled, happy to follow the Trapinch across the dunes. Cavo found the rocks and hot sand like the desert that was his home, making him very cheerful. Jizu swooped down and landed as a Fuzky, Sulteron picking up her fluffy cat formed daemon. Tayeko picked his way easily over the rocks, standing at the top and looking at whatever was ahead for a moment before leaping down as Sulteron and Cavo caught up. Sulteron looked ahead, wondering what she would see.

Ooc:// Hmm, looks like you got pretty lucky with the randomizer.

Ic:// As they rounded the bend, they would see a fairly awesome sight, and then an immense roar swept back the reeds. For there, muscled body snaked in the grass and twitching in spasms, was a great Gyarados. Electricity crackled around one of his fins--it appeared that he had just been hit by a Thundershock from a Flaffy who stood on two legs, eyes narrowed in fury, tail sizzling with sparks. There was also a Nuzleaf who was just getting to his feet near the Flaffy, seeming a bit winded but still full of battle spirit. Behind them were...a man and a woman, both in the same familiar black and grey uniform, with their daemons cheering them on with yells of encouragement. "Nuzleaf! Hurry up! Use Pound, now!" the woman ordered. The Nuzleaf grunted in acknowledgment and ran towards the Gyarados with his arm drawn back and ready to strike, but with one powerful sweep of its tail the Gyarados sent the Nuzleaf back against the rocks before it could attack.

As Sulteron drew closer, it became apparent that the Gyarados was protecting something. Behind the huge serpentine body was a beaten-up Floatzel, bleeding freely from one shoulder, who was curled up around three young Buizels. Each were peeping fearfully over their mother's tails at the battle, and in the sunlight, one's fur gleamed tan-gold. Clearly, he was what the two Grunts in black were after, but the massive, enraged Gyarados stood in their way. It was obvious that the wild Gyarados was at a noticably high level for the Route 4, and for now he was standing his ground, but it was also clear that he was beginning to wear thin around the edges, especially since he was taking on two at once. The mother Floatzel looked on weakly and helplessly--she was in no condition to fight. The Gyarados noticed Jizu first before he spotted Tayeko, Sulteron, and Cavo, and he growled angrily at them and flashed his fins, expecting that they were reinforcements.

[/color] but was cut off by Tayeko saying ~I don't think that's holy.~[/color] the Absol muttered scornfully, walking calmy up to the Nuzleaf. ~I sense a dissaster involving your face~[/color] he spoke smoothly with ice dripping off his words, before disappearing- a Faint Attack.

Normally, Sulteron would have it strange that the shiny was randomly attacking something, but these were Tsuasa grunts. She'd seen what they did to Connor. That poor albino powerful, scared kid with his deep eyes, charming smile, hair that fell and laugh that set her heart racing... {Ahem.} Jizu coughed, making her blush. "Cavo, Bite on the Flaaffy! Don't worry, you're resistant to electricity!" she called to him. The Trapinch riddled off, jaws open, eyes flickering nervously to the Gyrados.

Sulteron spied the poor mother Floatzel and dived down, Potion in hand. She crouched down beside the angry Gyrados (when weren't they angry?) and began applying the stuff, talking constantly. At first she was explaining what she was doing, then it was anything- she felt to keep talking was the right thing to do. Jizu looked anxiously at the great dragon, trying to remind his Otteros formed self that it was just an evolved Magikarp. {We're helping, OK? We hate these guys too.} he tried to explain.[/blockquote][/justify][/size][/font]

The Nuzleaf, who had been concentrating on the Gyarados and getting to his feet, bristled with alarm at Tayeko's steely stare and then the Faint Attack, the impact sending him off his feet once more and skidding against the ground. The Tsuasa Grunts quickly noticed Sulteron's interference. "Hey--hey! Hey! This is our battle, our shiny, our find? You got that, punkette? Get away from there!" Their frustration was somewhat understandable--although the Gyarados battle was two-on-one, the sea dragon posed quite a formidable foe, and now with Sulteron it was hard to say who would win. However, in the next moment, the Gyarados slammed the ground with his tail, making it shudder, snarling at both Tayeko and the Nuzleaf (he hadn't noticed Cavo yet). ~Help?! Help?! Three on one, you're just as bad as these lumps of sea dung! Get out of here, puny Trainer!~

However, part of the great serpent did acknowledge that Sulteron was helping him, so the tail thwack he aimed at Tayeko was only half-hearted, before he darted in at Nuzleaf for a ferocious Bite. The Nuzleaf paused, uncertain, between Tayeko and Gyarados, before his trainer yelled out, "Go for the Gyarados, he's the one that's weakened! Razor Leaf!" The Nuzleaf obliged, and soon screams came from both Pokemon--the Nuzleaf, as Tayeko's prediction came true--the Gyarados's enormous jaws enveloped the Nuzleaf's entire head in a great Bite. But the sea dragon's body twisted in pain, for he took the Razor Leaf straight to the throat, an incredibly sensitive part on any Pokemon. Gyarados flung the Nuzleaf against the rocks, letting go out of pain, but it was clear that one turn had damaged both Pokemon considerably. The Nuzleaf was wheezing badly and the Gyarados coughed and hacked, trying to get the sharp leaves from its throat.

Nonetheless, despite the Gyarados's words, Cavo's attack on Flaaffy proved quite useful. Flaaffy had been getting ready for another quadruply-effective Thundershock on the Gyarados, and as Cavo charged her, she forgot that ground types were resistant to electricity and directed the lightning at him, wincing as she chomped onto her tail and Growling angrily. The Floatzel stirred away from Sulteron at first, but as she grew more comfortable listening to Sulteron babble and as she felt the healing effects of the Potion she sat up, rubbing a half-closed eye. However, she still kept her Buizel pups close, asking Sulteron warily, ~Who are you?~ The Buizels stared at Sulteron curiously, although the shiny seemed to know it was in more danger and was far more afraid. One of the normal-colored ones ran right up to Sulteron, though, then retreated sadly as his mother barked hoarsely at him.

ic// Sulteron was pleased that Floatzel seemed to be getting better, and couldn't help but smile as a Buizel tried to get near her. They were so cute! "My name's Sulteron, and daemon's Jizu. My Absol and Trapinch are trying to fend of the bad people. I hate them as much as you do, since I've run into them before and seen what they did to my friend." she said firmly, keeping an eye on how things were going. Those Thundershocks posed a serious threat to Gyrados. "Cavo, Gyrados' main threat it those Thundershocks- I want you take every single one, they won't hurt you! Tayeko, try a Shadow Ball on Nuzleaf!" she called. It was hard battling and taking care of injured Pokémon, especially when you were crouching beside an angry Gyrados.

Cavo at first shuddered as his trainer gave the order to get in the way of every Thundershock. Was she out of her mind? Then he thought it through enough to remember how he was a Ground type. Oh, right. If he took the Electric type attacks, no harm would come to Gyrados. Brilliant! Plus now the main threat from Flaaffy was covered if he could manage it, Tayeko could get at the Nuzleaf safely! The Trapinch moved in front of Gyrados, smiling smugly. He could do this!

Tayeko leapt out the way of the half-hearted tail swipe, feeling pleased with the great dragon snake as it tossed the now injured Nuzleaf aside. Phew, that was some strength. The Absol made a mental note to take care around Gyrados-suitable bodies of water. He also began powering up his Shadow Ball, the powerful Ghost type attack taking shape as he took aim. When he had a large black, blue and purple ball of energy in front of him, he flung it forward to Nuzleaf. He hoped it would hit since Nuzleaf was an easy target.

The Tsuasans ranted and swore at Sulteron when they realized what she was doing. The male Tsuasan, the trainer of the Flaafy, heard Sulteron's order and gritted his teeth. He could see what the Gyarados and Absol together were doing to his comrade's Nuzleaf, so he'd need to get that Gyarados down, which would solve a heck of a lot of problems. "Flaafy!" he ordered, "Do not attack the Trapinch with Thundershock! Get around that accursed big head and get your Thundershock to the Gyarados, now! Or better yet, use Thunder Wave to paralyze!" Flaafy obligingly hissed at the Trapinch, then darted towards Gyarados, feinting one way and then running in the other direction, and released sizzling sparks of light from its tail which made their way towards the huge sea serpent. She was counting on the Trapinch's big head to slow him down from blocking the attack--would it make it in time?

The Gyarados was completely unaware what was happening behind him, and now that the painful shocks were gone he focused primarily on the Nuzleaf. That Bite, while it hadn't been very effective on Nuzleaf's Dark-type, was still quite a powerful move, especially from the strong jaws of a Gyarados a full 7 levels higher. On the other hand, the same 7-level advantage helped stifle some of the critical damage that the super-effective Razor Leaf. Both Gyarados and Nuzleaf seemed to be at around equal amounts of HP. Gyarados still seemed to want the shiny Absol to butt out of his fight--again, he snapped his jaws and Tayeko and snarled lightly before he suddenly brought his muscled body into a coil and then snapped it outward, sending sand and rocks flying. It was a Thrash, and quite a strong one. Nuzleaf saw it coming and used Harden to ease the damage, but it still sent him crashing back into the rocks, where he lay dazed and was hit by Tayeko's Shadow Ball. Again, however, the Ghost-type move, while strong, wasn't very effective, and Nuzleaf was able to clamber to his feet, lust for revenge shining in his eyes. He used another Razor Leaf, this one aimed at Tayeko, so as to perhaps keep him out of combat for a bit while defending.

The Floatzel nodded weakly, but she was able to clamber to her feet, showing she was getting some of her strength back. ~It is both an honor and a caution to meet you, Emerald Espeon Sulteron. Let me tell you this; while you may hate those humans as do I, I suggest you back away from this battle as soon as possible. The Hero of Route 4, Gyarados, is quite aggressive to humans, or even Poke-humans like you. And at the same time, I give you my utmost thanks for coming to the aid of my pups and I.~

She lay back down stiffly, nosing the Buizels sitting at her feet. The one who had approached Sulteron earlier wriggled against his mother's tail. ~But, Mother, a Trainer! A-a Trainer? Couldn't I go with her? I'll make my little bros proud,~ he said confidently, elbowing the two other Buizels (the shiny and the other normal-colored one) in the side playfully. ~Lookit that Absol fight! If I fight like that I could protect you guys at any time!~ But at the next roar of the Gyarados, however, he flinched back, then leaned towards the fight with determination, trying to show Sulteron, his mother, and his brothers that he wasn't scared.

Sulteron nodded to Floatzel, taking in her advice. "Tayeko, stop fighting or Gyrados could hurt you! Come over here instead! Cavo, you're doing good. Try to catch the Thunder Wave if you can, then go in for a Bite!" she called out to the battle immedietly. She could see what that dragon snake could do and did not want to get in the way of him.

Tayeko was a little puzzled as to why she wanted this, but then noticed how the huge snake was pretty annoyed with him, too. He attempted to dodge the Razor Leaf but was caught painfully, yelping from it before hurrying off to join his trainer and leave Gyrados and Cavo to it. He looked at the excited little Buizel, padding up to him and giving the little guy a lick on the nose in greeting. ~With spirit like that and a bit of hard work, kid, you can achieve anything so long as your heart's in it.~

[/color] he smiled, taking a liking to this Pokémon.

Cavo shivered at his task. This Gyrados was clearly stronger than him, so naturally that meant he gained the Trapinch's respect. He was a little frightened of fighting a Pokémon stronger than him to protect a Pokémon even stronger than that, but he knew this would take him one step closer to evolving. He could do this! Dashing foward as fast as his tiny legs could carry him, his massive jaws proved to be a bad thing, like Flaaffy had thought, as well as a good thing. His Bite missed, his jaws closing around the Thunder Wave which made him giggle as it tickled him. The attack was avoided but the sheep hadn't felt any pain. He looked at the Electric type nervously, knowing she would know some moves which could hurt him and get him out the way of Gyrados.[/blockquote][/justify][/size][/font]

Gyarados had just finished his first Thrash, but noticed the Absol quickly leaping out of the way. Yes! The fight was his alone now. ~Smart move, Absol.~ the Gyarados growled, and then turned to Nuzleaf, eager to concentrate on the fight. Nuzleaf was breathing hard and staggering a bit as he faced Gyarados, although he was grateful that Tayeko had finally left the battle. He used a Growth when his Trainer yelled to him, Nuzleaf! That Gyarados used Thrash, he’s gonna be confused in a couple of turns! Focus on taking out the annoying Trainer’s Trapinch! Razor Leaf!” Nuzleaf winced but nodded, for now he had the task of getting around the enormous (and angry) sea serpent. He dashed forward, jumped up, and used a Razor Leaf aimed at Cavo, hoping to fling himself over the Gyarados’s coils so he could aid Flaffy, but the Gyarados’s answering Thrash sent the Nuzleaf back into the wall. ~Don’t forget that you’re fighting ME, slimeball!

[/b] Nuzleaf tottered upright—it looked like he was on his last legs. 7 extra levels was a lot. The razor-sharp leaves aimed at Cavo swung towards him haphazardly, since the attack had been executed in desperation and at a bad angle. However, if the Trapinch made any sudden moves, it was quite possible he might be struck by one.

Flaffy and her trainer both screeched in irritation when Trapinch took the Thunder Wave, making the entire last turn a waste. Her trainer was following the same line of thought as Cavo, for he called to Flaffy (after a lot of indignant foot-stomping), ”He can’t be hurt by Electric attacks, so Growl and Tackle!” These were weak attacks, but at least they might do something to the big-jawed ground type, and Flaffy was a level higher than Cavo. Not that meant much, but it would help a little. She Growled in the most menacing way a pink sheep could before hitting the sand with all fours and dashing at Cavo in a neat and seemingly well-practiced Tackle.

The older Buizel brother was a little confused when Sulteron called Tayeko to exit the battle, but he stood tall and ready when the shiny Absol came back, as if he was defending his mother and Sulteron simultaneously. This bravado dissolved a bit when Tayeko licked him on the nose—he giggled and blushed rather bashfully. ~Really, Sir-sir Tayeko?! I’ll try my hardest! Should I help fight?~ he offered, determinedly watching the battle and flexing his small shoulders, getting ready to run in, but quivering with fear at the same time. Naturally, his mother quickly reeled him in with one of her tails. ~No, no, no, let the Hero and the Emerald Espeon’s friend do the fighting. I’m sure you’ll be able to battle like this when you’re old enough.”[/color] The eager Buizel's two younger brothers watched him skeptically. `When a' we'z gonna getta do the fightin', anyway?' the shiny one asked, slurred voice showing that he was still very young.

It seemed like it had been a good idea for Tayeko to get out of the battle, since Gyrados seemed much happier now. The Absol watched Cavo fight, wondering what the nervous Trapinch would be like as a Flygon. Probably not so nervous, he would imagine. The little Buizels seemed very keen to fight against their mother's wishes. ~Don't worry, little ones. I remember feeling the same way when I was little. It's frustrating, but trust me when I say not to start fighting too early. You can watch, admire and learn, but getting into a fight really young can be painful. I'm sure your mum will take you out for your first battle at some point, not to worry.~

[/color] he smiled, remembering his days as a cub.

Cavo meanwhile was focused on the Flaaffy, who appeared to be preparing an attack which would actually hurt him. Not so good. He didn't expect Nuzleaf to be using Razor Leaf, and when he saw the super effective sharp leaves slice past him he jumped, startled, right into the path of a few. He let out a sharp cry, the distraction being enough to let the sheep ram into him with a powerful Tackle. Oh, things were not looking good for him, were they?

Sulteron found the little Buizel's keenness to fight quite adorable, and could see how they were all too young right now. Their time would come. Everyone had ambitions and little kids looked at anyone older or in this case at a higher level than them with great admiration. She was trying to focus on the battle at the same time, wincing as she saw Cavo take part of the Razor Leaf, the Growl and the Tackle. Ouch, that must hurt. "Don't worry, Cavo, you can do this! Bite!" she called, hoping he'd manage this. The Ground type was shaking nervously, afraid of taking on an opponent stronger than him. But he couldn't just do nothing, could he? The Trapinch opened his massive jaws and attempted to clamp them down on whatever part of Flaaffy he could find. A leg, back... anything. He bit down, hoping he had some Electric type Pokémon and not just air.[/blockquote][/justify][/size][/font]

The younger two Buizels nodded and relaxed into their mother’s side, passing little squeaks to each other as they watched Gyarados and Cavo duke it out with Team Tsuasa’s pokemon. The older Buizel, however, listened attentively to Tayeko’s words, trying to dutifully take in any speech given to him by what he probably considered something of a perfect role model now. It was strange; usually Pokemon avoided Absols, considering that Absol was a Disaster Pokemon, but the older Buizel had certainly taken a mighty large shine to Tayeko. ~Oh yeah, Mother did take me out for a battle, twice! But they weren’t anything big, like this…~ he turned back to the Gyarados and Cavo. His mother was watching him pensively—she seemed to be weighing the matter in her mind. ~We’ll see,~ she replied. After all, it wasn’t quite clear what would happen in the battle yet.

The Flaffy sneered as her Tackle connected, and so Cavo’s Bite took her by surprise. She yelped as Cavo’s strong jaws enveloped her entire right lower leg, and she struggled in vain to get free. Now that she was in Cavo’s grasp, a Tackle wouldn’t be very powerful at all, without the dash forward to supplement its strength. Her trainer’s frustrated yells of, ”Get yourself free, you lowlife excuse of a Pokemon!” didn’t help, so she tried ramming Cavo in the face with a Tackle, using upper body strength. But, of course, it was weak, so it remained a question as if it would make the Trapinch let go.

Meanwhile, across the clearing, Nuzleaf was whimpering. The Gyarados towered high above him, and he had learned from his last stunt that there was no way for escape. The only thing he could do now was dodge or perish, but he used Harden anyway, in case he might survive the hit. He stood ready, and when Gyarados snarled, ~Adios, slimeball~

[/color] and whipped neck and body forward in a Thrash, he used all his energy to jump to the side and onto the rocks behind him, even using a few Razor Leaves to boost his momentum backward. Yes! He had succeeded! That still didn’t solve the problem, however, of him being fairly close to fainting. He watched with relish as Thrash took its toll—the Gyarados stopped its rampage and then swung its head side-to-side…looking, well, Confused. Bad news for anyone standing there, as who knew who Gyarados would attack next—Trainers, Cavo, Floatzel and her pups, the enemy Pokemon, or himself.

Uh-oh. Gyrados was confused, not a good thing. Sulteron paniced for a moment at the prospect of facing an angry, confused and strong Gyrados, but then she reminded herself of the Pokéball at her belt with the little droplet of water above it... her Suicune would definately be able to deal with Gyrados, what with being large and knowing super effective Ice type moves. Plus hopefully seeing a legendary like that might affect the snake's actions or something. Whatever happened, the Espeon 'morph was on her guard. "Cavo, Faint Attack!" she called, remembering the battle.

Tayeko chuckled at the little Buizel. The cub reminded him quite a lot of himself, actually. ~Ah, parents are like this. Your mum might seem mean, but she's clearly concerned about you. My mum wouldn't let me battle much, but now with Sulteron I'm travelling all over and we've won two gym badges.~

Cavo was happily clinging on with his teeth, then felt a dull smack on his sensitive nose. Reflexes made him release Flaaffy before he could tell himself to do otherwise, and he cursed in annoyance. He was so focused on the battle, he didn't notice Gyrados getting confused. He could hear his trainer call out, so he obeyed, starting the Faint Attack which was impossible to miss. It would hit Flaaffy without a doubt, but anything could happen after that what with the sheep being freed and the Gyrados rampaging about.[/blockquote][/justify][/size][/font]

The older Buizel's tail flickered with admiration. ~Whoa! Two gym badges! That's pretty awesome!~ It was pretty obvious now that he wanted to adventure off with his Absol hero. His mom looked a mixture of bemused and skeptical--and still fairly nervous, too, considering that roars from the Gyarados punctured their conversation every now and then. Nevertheless, she gave Tayeko a somewhat relieved and thankful look when he defended her, even if he was also sympathizing with her son. She had, in fact, taken a liking to the Crimson Absol and his Emerald Espeon trainer, and it didn't only have to do with the fact that Sulteron had healed her somewhat. But at the same time, she didn't know if Sulteron would win the battle, or control the Hero Gyarados. Gyarados tended to be angry, but he was a good judge of things (when he wasn't rampaging)--it was not for nothing, after all, he was called Hero of Route 4. She would have to wait it out and see.

Flaffy snickered with delight, not having expected the Tackle to make Cavo's grasp let go. This would be easy, she underestimated him, and had began to run forward with another Tackle. Overconfident as she was, she staggered with surprise when Cavo disappeared, only to reappear at her side with in a fierce Faint Attack. The sheep cried out with surprise and fell heavily on her side, since she was already off-balance due to her previous state of moving forward. Cursing, she struggled to get up from the sand, and Growled malevolently at Cavo. Electricity crackled furiously from her tail. She could feel her strength fading, and it frustrated her.

Gyarados had paused in his Confusion, eyes flickering one way, then the other, then going cross-eyed. He twisted around and snarled at Flaffy before hissing at Sulteron, and then focusing his attention once more on Nuzleaf, who was crawling forward, trying to be unnoticed. The Grass and Dark-type hybrid froze when Gyarados noticed him, hoping that the sea serpent would attack himself instead, but alas, the Gyarados bellowed in a mighty rage and...used Splash. Well, what would have been a Splash in the water, but instead the mad thwacking of his tail brought copious amounts of sand into the air instead. Then he closed his mighty jaws for a few seconds and let loose with a stream of blue-violet flames--right at Nuzleaf. Dragon Rage. Dragon Rage always did 40 damage; a half-life hit for most Pokemon under level thirty. There was no chance to dodge, and Nuzleaf fainted before he even hit the ground. His trainer didn't have a chance to return him--she and her partner were too busy scattering away from the Dragon Rage attack, most of it having gone over the rocks and zooming straight towards them. The yelp of one of their daemons could be heard as its tail was struck by the attack while fleeing.

Nuzleaf was defeated! Tayeko gains one level and Cavo gains two!

Ooc:// I'm basing the levels on the way the games work (if you work with someone else in a double battle, your Pokemon get full experience anyways) but if you want to change it, just say so.

[/color] He was rather puzzled by this, since he couldn't see much reason why he should suddenly grow up one level. The 'morph thought for a moment, then smiled. "I guess it's probably because you were fighting that Nuzleaf and now Gyrados has just... oh dear." she explained, trailing off.

Gyrados seemed to be attacking properly now, judging by the pained dæmons. Tayeko's fur bristled and he stood defensively in front of the Floatzel and her pups, while Sulteron's brain thought as fast as possible for Cavo's battle and whether Gyrados was about to attack them or the Trapinch. If the snake so much as turned his head towards them he could shoot one of those powerful beams, which wouldn't be so much fun. "Cavo, keep an eye open in case Gyrados attacks you! Try a Bite, too!" she called, eyes darting between the two Pokémon. This was a little tricky.

Cavo whimpered as he heard this, staring at the 'Hero' fearfully. Oh dear... he was so much weaker than the snake! He barely noticed his attack stat fall before he realised he should try and get this fight over with as quickly as possible, lunging forward with a Bite while his instincts exploded with warnings since this meant he was focused on Flaaffy and not Gyrados.[/blockquote][/justify][/size][/font]
